About us
What is CEDA? We are a registered charity with over 20 years experience in providing services for children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities. CEDA offers educational sessions, arts, sports and social activities for students across Devon over 51 weeks of the year.
What sports & activities can I do at CEDA? CEDA aims to offer everyone the opportunity to take part in their choice of sport and activity. Since 2009 students have taken part in many activities including:
3 Goals for sports at CEDA: 1. Introducing sport, exercise and healthier lifestyle to disabled adults and children and increase the activities they can participate in with families, friends and peers. 2. Demonstrating and increasing the awareness of the potential abilities of disabled people to community and sports venues, their staff and customers. 3. Increase the capacity within the organisation and within the county network, raise the profile of sports for disabled people and share good practice.
Peter Harrison Foundation 2009 saw the introduction of a Sports & Activities Leader made possible through funding from the Peter Harrison Foundation. This organisation has a strong tradition of funding sporting activities traditionally based in South East England. The three year post aims to develop sport at CEDA through both hands on coaching and taking on a sports devlopment role liasing with other community organisations.
